1. Scope of Practice and Disclaimers:-

• I am not medically trained regarding eye conditions. This is a collaborative,
reflective process. It is not therapy, counselling or medical care. It cannot prevent,
cure or treat any medical or mental health condition.

• I have no formal qualification in Low vision assessments. Any purchase of aids or
magnification is purely based on your personal preference and I am not responsible
for arranging returns or refunds.

• I shall adhere to Professional boundaries to empower clients through self-directed
lifestyle changes.

2. Client Responsibilities:-

• Full Disclosure - Clients are required to disclose any relevant medical conditions,
injuries or medications prior to sessions.

• Accountability – the client acknowledges that they are responsible for their own
actions.

3. Confidentiality and Data Protection:-

• Privacy - All personal and health information will be kept confidential and stored
securely in compliance with Data protection regulations (GDPR).
This can be accessed, corrected or removed at your request at any time.

• Breaking Confidentiality – details are never shared without your consent, however,
there may be specific exceptions legally or ethically where confidentiality may be
breached, such as if a client or someone else is at serious risk of harm.

• I am PVG registered with Disclosure Scotland. (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling:-

• Rescheduling – as much notice as possible is appreciated if a session needs to be
rearranged. If within 2 hours of session you will still be charged.

• Cancellations of outstanding paid sessions or no show’s are non-refundable.

• Flexibility is appreciated when booking sessions.

5. Payments:-

• All payments must be in advance or at the beginning of the session. Cash, card or
bank transfers are accepted.

• To fully benefit, regular sessions are recommended to encourage consistency.
